Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and own data pipelines on the Data Platform, delivering a canonical data model across healthcare data domains. You will ensure data quality, observability, and governance while partnering with consumer teams across invoicing and analytics.

You will work with Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Python to deliver scalable data products, contribute to architectural direction, and mentor peers to raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering, building and owning production data pipelines.
• Strong Snowflake experience (streams/projects, sizing, RBAC, clustering).
• Production experience with dbt and Airflow, scalable models and DAGs.
• Strong Python programming and deep SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines in our unified framework using Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Implement the canonical data model in production within the defined architecture.
• Add automated validation and data quality checks into pipelines at stages.
• Instrument pipelines for observability: freshness, lineage, and failure alerts.
• Collaborate with consuming teams to translate requirements into governed data outputs.
• Migrate and consolidate existing workloads onto the unified framework with minimal disruption.
• Participate in on-call rotations for pipeline and data quality incidents.
