Job summary
Liberty Mutual Investments Technology is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver AI-powered data pipelines powering insights for the Global Liquid Markets Public Markets portfolio. The role is hybrid with in-office collaboration in Boston, MA (2x per week).
The ideal candidate will develop scalable data models, collaborate across product and business partners, and codify quality and governance practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
- Proficient in data engineering languages and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of agile data engineering concepts and processes
- Experience with design and implementation of scalable data pipelines
- Ability to mentor engineers and participate in code reviews
- Familiarity with AI-powered data tooling and governance
Responsibilities
- Design and run automated, high-performance data pipelines on Snowflake and AWS.
- Build data models behind scalable analytics products for investment decisions.
- Implement testing practices and data governance standards.
- Apply AI to speed up data engineering workflows with guardrails.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Tech Lead and stakeholders on data roadmap.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to squad delivery and quality.
