Job summary

Assembl in New York is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own a production data platform at scale and enable AI-driven workflows for marketing tech clients.

You will design schemas, govern data, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to ship data products for agents and retrieval systems. 5+ years of experience, strong Python/SQL, and warehousing/orchestration tooling are required. Onsite in NYC with relocation support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data/software engineering with ownership of a production data platform at scale.
• Expert Python and SQL, fluent in ingestion and modeling.
• Experience with transformation/orchestration tools (SQLMesh, dbt, Airflow).
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery and transactional stores.
• Proven multi-tenant design, governance and secure access patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a production data platform handling large-scale data.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to expose data for agents and retrieval.
• Design schema and data models with backward compatibility.
• Balance reliability with fast delivery for cross-functional teams.
