Guidehouse is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect, transform, integrate, and analyze data in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for financial management and information technology programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Responsibilities include data ingestion, aggregation, QA, data modeling, and advanced analytics, using SQL, Python, and PySpark, with a focus on data

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a PUBLIC TRUST; adjudication required prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three or more years of data experience.
• Experience in performing data analytics to address management and operational challenges.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and Databricks for analytics tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modelling, ML/AI.

Responsibilities

• Collect, transform, integrate, and analyze data to support DHS programs.
• Develop data ingestion and integration solutions using APIs, databases, and file interfaces.
• Aggregate, clean, and organize datasets; perform QA across sources.
• Design data integration frameworks and data crosswalks for interoperability.
• Manipulate large datasets using SQL, Python, and PySpark; identify patterns.
• Develop data models and conduct exploratory data analysis; apply advanced analytics.
• Ensure data governance and quality standards are met.
• Specify data quality metrics for Databricks ingestion.
• Lead client meetings, document actions, and support business development.
