Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned database/analytics professional to deliver database engineering and administration for National Security clients in the DC metro area. The role focuses on data querying, ETL, data governance, and collaboration with security teams.

Our consultants on the Defense & Security AI & Data team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness.
Belong to a collaborative team dedicated to Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Automation.
Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development in data science and analytics.
Provide database engineering and database administration services to National Security clients.
Continue career development in analytics software, methods, and consulting.
What You Will Need :
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
Bachelor’s degree
EIGHT (8) or more years developing large, highly complex, enterprise database systems.
Experience using SQL for data querying and extract – transform – load (ETL) functions, with understanding of data engineering concepts.
Ability to support on-site and hybrid projects in the DC metro area
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Active DOJ Suitability or Active Secret Clearance
Ability to handle and manipulate unstructured data.
Familiarity with cloud / serverless options for data storage.
Ability to uphold strong data management and data governance.
Ability to develop data dictionaries and other supporting documentation.
Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Experience working with Python, SQL, and other modern scripting languages used in analytics.
Ability to transform cybersecurity/GRC datasets (e.g., vulnerability and asset posture, compliance/scoring data) into reliable features and decision-ready insights.
Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks: NIST SP 800-53, NIST RMF, OSCAL, FedRAMP.
Experience ingesting and analyzing signals from Tenable, Qualys, CrowdStrike, BigFix; CDM/SIEM integrations.
Experience with large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and API-first integrations; experience with micro-ETL/event-driven patterns.
