Job summary

Code the Dream is seeking a Senior Data Engineer Tech Equity Fellow to lead data platforms and mentor junior engineers in a fully remote US-based role (HQ in Durham, NC). You’ll design data pipelines, shepherd data quality, and collaborate with nonprofit and government partners to deliver meaningful tech.

You should have 5+ years in software/data engineering, strong Python and SQL, and cloud experience across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of professional software engineering, data engineering, or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership & mentoring: Overseeing all aspects of the development process, with regular check-ins with junior developers and code reviews.
• Hands-on development and architecture: Designing, building, testing, and improving data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, and related applications.
• Contributing to our community: Engaging with partners, shaping curriculum, and participating in CTD Labs activities.
