Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our data team in Kansas City. You will own data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and production support for high-availability systems.

You will design semantic models with SSAS and Power BI, implement dimensional modeling, and optimize SQL Server based workloads. Collaboration with stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 8 years combined experience in data engineering and data modeling.
• Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server.
• Hands-on Informatica ETL development and Active Batch workflow management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, and enhance existing data pipelines on SQL Server, Informatica, and Active Batch.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes with performance tuning and data quality focus.
• Manage Active Batch workflows for reliable automation and uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data incidents and document solutions.
• Design and document data models, data mappings, and data flows.
