Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Software Developer, ETL/PySpark to help modernize data platforms for a Canadian healthcare information organization. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL within an AWS/cloud environment, with emphasis on reliability, testing and collaboration.

You will contribute across the full data pipeline lifecycle, including code reviews, CI/CD, documentation and production support, in a remote Canada-based setting.

Qualifications

Your Responsibilities

• You'll develop, maintain and optimize ETL pipelines and data processing applications using Python, PySpark and R.

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience, with senior-level expertise in ETL and large-scale data processing.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL, including data science applications and maintainable code development.
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud, AWS EMR, AWS Redshift and Apache Airflow.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle databases, Oracle PL/SQL, dimensional modelling and analytical data warehouses.
• Advanced Linux/Unix shell scripting skills and experience documenting ETL designs and technical environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration testing, deployment processes and Agile delivery.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills.
