Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Senior Software Developer, ETL/PySpark to help modernize data platforms for a Canadian healthcare information organization. The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL within an AWS/cloud environment, with emphasis on reliability, testing and collaboration.

You will contribute across the full data pipeline lifecycle, including code reviews, CI/CD, documentation and production support, in a remote Canada-based setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development with senior ETL and data processing experience.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL, including data science applications.
• Experience with AWS (EMR, Redshift) and Apache Airflow; strong CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize ETL pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Collaborate with analytical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Support deployment packages, CI/CD pipelines and production troubleshooting.
• Document ETL designs, data mappings and system configurations.
• Participate in peer reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable code and documentation.
