CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines powering analytics and data science workloads. The role emphasizes hands-on data engineering and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will model the Core Data Domain, enable BI tools, and collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver robust data pipelines and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable work experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and complex queries.
• Experience in Python for ETL pipelines.
• Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance best practices in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data models and schemas to support analytics and ML workloads.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources.
• Implement performance tuning, partitioning, and clustering to optimize queries and reduce costs.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, governance frameworks, and security policies for data storage and access.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design data solutions that integrate with BI tools and ML models.
• Create comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and processes; mentor junior data engineers.
