Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and mature a modern enterprise data platform within a financial services environment. This role emphasizes governance, cataloging, standardization, and delivering analytics-ready data assets across the enterprise.

You will work hands-on to design scalable pipelines, implement ETL/ELT, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to meet critical decisions with trusted data. Onsite work and long-term growth are supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience designing and building enterprise data pipelines and integrations.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong Python development experience.
• Experience with data profiling, data quality, and governance initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and integrations across multiple enterprise systems.
• Develop cloud-based data solutions using Azure technologies.
• Standardize, cleanse, transform, and validate data to improve quality and consistency.
• Establish and automate data quality controls, monitoring, and governance processes.
• Develop analytics-ready datasets, dimensional models, and curated business data assets.
• Support data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data platform, architecture, and engineering standards.
• Monitor and improve data platform performance, reliability, and observability.
