Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a senior data engineer to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and platform capabilities. This hands-on role includes mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and delivering scalable production code in a remote-friendly environment.

The candidate will collaborate with data, software, and platform teams in an Agile setting, leveraging cloud platforms, CI/CD, and modern data tooling to support analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 6 years of experience.
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 8 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science or analytical modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, AWS.
• CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines.
• Experience with Google BigQuery, FHIR APIs, and Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of Airflow and Google Composer for workflow orchestration.
• Infrastructure as code using Kubernetes and Docker in cloud environments.
