Job summary

Climb is a Data and AI consultancy partnering with enterprises to design, build, and operationalize data platforms and production AI systems.

Senior Data Engineers own complete data engineering workstreams, translating business requirements into scalable solutions using Databricks and the broader cloud ecosystem. You will deliver secure, cost-efficient platforms while mentoring teammates and sharing accelerators.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Production data pipelines with Apache Spark (PySpark/SQL).
• Hands-on Databricks experience (Delta Lake, Jobs, Workflows, Unity Catalog).
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
• Proven ability to own a data engineering workstream end-to-end.
• Excellent communication with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own data engineering workstreams end-to-end from design to production.
• Design scalable data models and lakehouse architectures.
• Optimize compute cost and performance on Databricks and cloud infrastructure.
• Orchestrate workflows with Databricks Workflows or equivalent tools.
• Implement governance, security, observability, and lineage with Unity Catalog; set up CI/CD for data.
• Build AI-ready data platforms for analytics and ML applications.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute reusable accelerators and patterns.
