Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer within SHI One, part of the Advanced Solutions Group. You will analyze, design, and develop data engineering and ETL solutions, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to meet business outcomes.

You will help build a new data engineering practice and lead technical efforts across the product organization. You will design data models, warehouses, and analytics platforms; coach peers through code reviews; and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of experience building data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms.
• Experience with highly available and testable ETL systems supporting business operations.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting.

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy with design of data models, warehouses and analytics systems.
• Coach team via code and design reviews to ensure standard integration.
• Ship high quality solutions and maintain technical excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and customers for smooth data systems.
• Support an data engineering environment focused on developer experience.
• Recommend improvements to data and ETL processes.
• Shape end-to-end data architecture from tech choice to testing.
• Create and maintain documentation, diagrams and visualizations.
