Job summary

SHI One, part of the Advanced Solutions Group, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead data engineering, ETL workloads, and architecture decisions for internal users, customers, and partners. You will analyze sources, design integrations, and guide the data engineering practice while collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

You will help establish standards for data modeling, warehousing, and analytics, coaching teammates through reviews, and delivering scalable, high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms
• Previous Experience building highly available and testable ETL systems that support critical business operations
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting
• Demonstrates excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills
• Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks
• Excellent time-management skills
• Strong problem prevention, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy and design data warehousing solutions.
• Collaborate with teams through code/design reviews to ensure standards.
• Ship high-quality data solutions and maintain technical excellence.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and customers for data system operations.
• Support a data engineering environment focused on developer efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to ETL processes and data architectures.
• Participate in end-to-end data architecture design and testing.
• Create and maintain technical docs and architecture diagrams.
• Review data architecture practices with team members
