Job summary

SHI One is an exciting team within the Advanced Solutions Group of SHI that is building new digital experiences for our internal users, customers and partners. The Senior Data Engineer will lead analysis, design, and development of data engineering and ETL solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to centralize and maintain data.

You will help establish a new data engineering practice, acting as a technical leader within Product, and you will design data models, warehouses, and analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL.
• Experience building scalable ETL systems for critical operations.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting.
• Strong communication and ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy, data model design, and data warehouse management.
• Coach team members through code and design reviews to ensure standards.
• Ship high-quality solutions and maintain technical excellence.
• Coordinate with dev teams, stakeholders, and customers for data systems.
• Support a data engineering environment to maximize efficiency and testing.
• Recommend improvements for ETL processes and data architectures.
• Lead documentation, architecture diagrams, and visualizations for teams.
• Review best practices around data architecture with the team.
