Job summary

Strava is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Products team, building pipelines and the access layer turning raw data, embeddings, and models into reliable data products used across the app.

You'll collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ship data products with strong reliability, freshness, and contracts, while supporting self-serve tooling for other teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building production data pipelines and batch/stream workflows.
• Strong contract design, versioning, and self-serve patterns for data artifacts.
• Comfort with cloud-based backend services and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data products, pipelines, APIs, and platform tooling.
• Contribute to self-serve tooling and golden paths for teams to access data products.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to deployment and monitoring.
