Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to build and ship high-performance data products, bridging business strategy with engineering. You will optimize pipelines, unblock engineers, and ensure seamless supply chain data flow from SAP, Kinaxis, and WMS/TMS tools.

The role requires hands-on coding, a strong data warehousing background, and collaboration with Data Architects to drive modern cloud analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow.
• Data Warehouse experience (Snowflake preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands-on lead resolving technical blockers across Python, SQL, Snowflake, and dbt pipelines.
• Act as primary backup to the Data Architect, performing GitHub PR reviews to enforce testing, quality, and platform standards.
• Ensure all engineering aligns with modern cloud data warehousing and orchestration standards (Airflow / GKE).
• Deliver high-impact datasets for core metrics (OTIF, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory) sourced from SAP, Kinaxis, and WMS/TMS tools.
• Manage sprint backlogs, project timelines, internal engineers, and third-party consultants across concurrent initiatives.
