OneAmerica Senior Data Engineer in Indianapolis, hybrid work setup, leads data-related projects and aligns data models with enterprise standards. This role partners with business lines to shape data solutions and drives continuous improvement in data architectures.

Required: 5+ years in data architecture, strong SQL, and modeling skills; experience with data warehouses, OLTP/OLAP, and data integration platforms; Agile and DevOps familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a data architecture-related role.
• 5+ years of experience modeling data solutions including ODS, Data Warehouse, Data Integration Hub, OLTP/OLAP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a holistic view of the scope of all data projects across a line of business and watch for project collisions.
• Provide project consultation including reviewing Data Architecture at the project level and opportunities for component reuse.
• Set Data Modeling standards and processes.
• Perform data model audits for standards compliance.
• Maintain conceptual data models for each line of business.
• Understand the complete data path within the business lines.
• Develop understanding of business data needs and align with enterprise data strategy.
• Partner with the Enterprise Data Architect to implement the enterprise data strategy.
