Data Engineer Sr is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for data-related projects. The role will partner closely with at least one Line of Business to maintain their data model in alignment with standards and architecture. The Data Engineer Senior will review data models, evolve and implement OneAmerica Ways around data, and design and execute on continuous improvement efforts.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Required Experience or Education:
5+ years of experience in a data architecture-related role
5+ years of experience data modeling, querying, and performance tuning relational DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
Expert SQL skills and demonstrated ability to write and debug complex SQL for purposes of analysis and translation of data needs into back end structures
Demonstrated experience in work estimation and management
Familiarity working on agile teams
Familiar with DevOps concepts and methodologies
