Park Place Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with analysts to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. The role emphasizes Azure Synapse, Spark, Python, and ML tooling within a hybrid environment.

The successful candidate will guide the data engineering team, ensure data quality, and help optimize performance across data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python development in data engineering.
• 4+ years SQL experience in data engineering.
• Experience designing complex data pipelines with data quality and consistency.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse and delta lake concepts.
• Solid data analytics background.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Implement pipelines to move raw data in Azure Synapse using Spark, Python, SQL and C# in line with established standards.
• Develop machine learning and regression analysis skills using Spark-Python-Pandas, OpenAI and Azure ML.
• Mentor other Data Engineers, especially juniors.
• Work with Data Analysts and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and guide execution.
• Provide peer review to ensure coding standards.
• Demonstrate mastery of the Software Development Life Cycle.
