Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver high‑quality data solutions and partner with engineering, analytics, data science and product teams in a fast‑paced, agile environment. You will design, integrate, and implement on‑prem and cloud data solutions, and support migrations of workloads to the cloud.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, and PySpark skills, experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehousing, and the ability to troubleshoot data issues and drive

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL and relational database experience
• 2+ years in cloud data engineering platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake)
• 2+ years in on-prem data engineering platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata)
• Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark for data warehousing
• Hands-on with dimensional modeling and data warehousing
• Experience troubleshooting data issues and applying optimizations
• Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative teams and own initiatives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Healthcare data familiarity is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize data pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, data science and product teams
• Support migrations of workloads to the cloud and maintain data warehouse integrity
• Develop and maintain dimensional data models and tune performance
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement data quality checks
• Identify and implement process improvements in data workflows
