Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and cloud-based analytics solutions. You will lead scalable data ecosystems, implement CI/CD for data workflows, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical data solutions.

You will build ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize data architectures, and ensure data quality, governance, and security across hybrid environments as part of a dynamic, mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in data engineering or related field.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines and ETL/ELT.
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and optimize data architectures, models, and storage across cloud/hybrid environments.
• Develop data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and related tech.
• Implement cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, Databricks, and more.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Lead data integration, migration, and modernization including legacy transformations.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance in designs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and production environments.
• Mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and evaluate new tech.
• Create and maintain technical docs on data flows and deployments.
• Role contingent upon contract award.
