Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines powering analytics. This hands-on role focuses on data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and building scalable data infrastructure for ML and BI workloads.

You will work with data scientists and analysts, ensuring data quality and governance while optimizing performance and costs. A Bachelor's degree and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL and complex queries.
• Experience in Python with ETL pipelines.
• Experience deploying data pipelines in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with data scientists, analysts and product owners.

Responsibilities

• Model and optimize data models and schemas for analytics, reporting and ML workloads.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources.
• Tune performance with partitioning and clustering to reduce costs.
• Establish data quality standards and governance with security.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate with BI and ML models.
• Document pipelines and mentor junior data engineers.
• Design analytical data infrastructure and data marts.
