Job summary

Capital One seeks a Data Engineer to drive cloud-first data solutions across a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support complex data platforms using Python, Spark, and cloud data warehousing tools like Databricks and Snowflake.

You will mentor peers, influence data architecture decisions, and design scalable pipelines while ensuring data security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of application development experience.
At least 2 years of distributed data experience.
At least 2 years of SQL experience.
At least 2 years of experience in one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
At least 2 years of experience in data pipeline design and development.
At least 1 year of experience in data modeling and designing end-to-end data solutions using both relational and non-relational databases.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support data solutions.
Influence a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists across technologies.
Utilize Python, Spark, and cloud data warehousing platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
Mentor data community members and stay updated on data trends.
