Job summary

FutureFit AI is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to build and own the data foundation for our product, turning raw labor market and occupation data into structured systems that drive job matching and pathways.

You'll design ingestion pipelines, shape data models, ensure analytics reliability, and feed ML models in production, partnering with Engineering, Product, and the VP of Data & AI on a small, high-ownership team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production ETL/ELT pipeline design and operation.
• Fluency in Python and SQL with deep warehouse/data lake modeling.
• Experience with orchestration/transformation stack (Airflow, dbt) and cloud warehouses.
• Experience integrating varied external data sources and handling schema changes.
• Comfort working with large, messy data and making data usable.
• Strong testing/monitoring/debugging of pipelines.
• Clear communication of data models and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate ingestion/transformation pipelines.
• Own data modeling/quality for core data and taxonomies.
• Build datasets for internal analytics and reporting.
• Develop ML data infrastructure feeding matching/recommendation models.
