Job summary

First American seeks a Senior Data Engineer to help develop and deploy innovative big data platforms for advanced analytics and data processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data solutions and ensure reliable data delivery across projects.

Required are 5–8 years in data engineering, strong SQL/T-SQL, ETL and data warehousing, and cloud computing proficiency. The role offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of directly related data engineering experience.
• Experience with Agile SDLC methodology.
• Proficient in SQL and T-SQL.
• Experience building data/ETL pipelines and data warehouses.
• Expertise in data modeling, database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning (SQL Server, MongoDB or NoSQL).
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to automate manual processes.
• Design, develop, code, test, and document architectures and applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design aligns with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
• Recommend improvements to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
• Perform duties outside of normal hours as needed.
