Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent related experience.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python (PySpark) skills.
• Proficiency with cloud data platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Evolve Lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake and ADLS storage.
• Create and optimize data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Optimize pipelines, SQL, and processing for performance and cost.
• Implement orchestration, monitoring, observability, and reliability.
• Apply data governance and security practices across datasets.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews across teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across analytics, security, and product teams.
• Follow CI/CD, Git-based development, and automated testing practices.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis for incidents.
