Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional data engineering or DB development experience.
• Advanced T-SQL skills with complex queries and indexing.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL platform.
• REST API / OData integration, OAuth 2.0 / API key handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate requirements into data structures.
• Bachelor's degree in CS / IS / Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines moving and transforming data between SaaS platforms and the data layer.
• Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL code including stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
• Design and maintain normalized relational data models in Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.
• Build integrations with vendor REST APIs, including authentication, pagination, retries, and error handling.
• Support SQL Server components used for real-time and complex payload integration, including C# / CLR modules.
• Collaborate with business analysts to expose curated data through Power BI using the existing SQL layer.
• Monitor pipelines for reliability, performance, and data quality; investigate and resolve issues.
• Document data flows, data models, and integration interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and small-team planning.
