Job summary

Sagility is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build scalable ingestion pipelines and modernize cloud-based data workflows for onboarding new customer data. Strong AWS, Snowflake, and infrastructure automation experience are essential, with excellent client-facing communication to gather requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.

The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable pipelines, optimizing Snowflake performance and costs, and collaborating with clients and Agile teams

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• 3+ years of Snowflake experience.
• Experience migrating pipelines and queries from SQL Server to cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket.
• Excellent communication skills with clients.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.
• Provision, configure, and administer AWS infrastructure across multiple services.
• Convert, optimize, and validate SQL Server queries and workloads in Snowflake.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake data models, pipelines, and performance-tuned queries.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Work within Agile environments using Jira and Bitbucket.
• Troubleshoot complex data, pipeline, and infrastructure issues with strong analytical reasoning.
