Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Sr. AWS/AI-ML Data Engineer to design and deliver modern, scalable data solutions in a remote-friendly role.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, RDS/Aurora, Athena, Quicksight) and Snowflake expertise, including Snowpipe and Streams. Collaborate with architects, AI engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Data Engineering delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.
• At least two end-to-end production AWS projects.
• Two end-to-end Snowflake projects (ingestion, transformation, modeling, optimization).
• Strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development skills.
• Experience with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, RDS/Aurora, Athena.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement modern data platform architectures using AWS-native services and Snowflake.
• Develop scalable data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
• Design high-performance Lakehouse/Warehouse models following Well-Architected guidelines.
• Implement Snowflake features like Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Virtual Warehouses.
• Build enterprise-grade ELT frameworks on Snowflake and ensure data governance & security.
• Create interactive semantic models and reports with Quicksight or equivalents.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for data and analytics workloads.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute reusable frameworks.
