Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Lead Data Engineer to join the Commercial & Investment Bank - Production Management team. You will be a core technical contributor, maintaining data pipelines, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, scalable manner.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams to deliver data-driven insights and robust data architectures supporting the firm's objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on Data Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Working knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL operations
• Working knowledge of JES2 and JCL, including RACF / ACF2 Security and CA7 / ZEKE
• Experience with performance analysis to optimize SQL workloads
• Knowledge of SYSPlex mainframe configuration including Data Sharing
• Knowledge of the data lifecycle and data management functions
• Working knowledge of mainframe data system components
• Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals (e.g., primary and foreign keys, constraints, indexing)
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an innovative culture
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports Db2 database applications
• Experienced with mainframe environment and use of TSO / ISPF / JCL
• Develop rapport with application development teams for collaboration
• Expertise with troubleshooting / diagnosing mainframe db2 related issues
• Maintains review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
• Implements database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy
• DDL Deployment , environment data refreshes, regular health checks
• Maintains highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, and availability
• Experience with SQL and databases utilities including connectivity
• Adds to team culture of team work , collaboration, and partnership
