Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer, Analytics (Technical Leadership) to lead the data foundation and analytics strategy across platforms. You will architect data models, define data governance, and drive end-to-end analytics with cross-functional teams of data scientists, product managers, and engineers.

You will mentor teammates, optimize ETL, and influence product decisions with data to deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years experience in the data warehouse space
• 10+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance
• 10+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages
• 10+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
• 10+ years experience in authoring SQL statements
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
• Experience managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive the vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects with cost-benefit tradeoffs
• Create frameworks to improve data logging and triage issues
• Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers
• Define and manage SLA for all data sets
• Implement security model per privacy requirements and governance
• Design, build and launch data models and visualizations
• Solve challenging data integrations using ETL patterns
• Own production processes and optimize complex code
• Improve pipelines, dashboards, and frameworks for data artifacts
• Influence product teams to identify data opportunities
• Mentor team members with actionable feedback
