Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead end-to-end data platforms, combining software and data engineering skills. You will write production-grade Python, design cloud data pipelines on AWS, and own architectural decisions with high autonomy.

You should have 6+ years of experience, strong SQL, data modeling, and a commitment to data quality and governance. A federal/public trust clearance is preferred and required before onboarding.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering or software engineering building production systems.
• Strong production-quality Python, CI/CD, and testing practices.
• Expert SQL with advanced queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on AWS data/compute stack experience.
• Data modeling and idempotent recompute patterns.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform or CDK.
• High autonomy with ability to own systems end-to-end.
• Experience using AI tooling to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Own data platforms end to end from ingestion to analytics and application layers.
• Write production-grade Python and build services, APIs, and tooling.
• Design and orchestrate cloud data pipelines on AWS with fault handling.
• Model data for analytics and ensure data quality across pipelines.
• Implement data-quality checks and reconcile results.
• Drive architectural decisions with limited supervision.
• Leverage AI coding tools to improve delivery while maintaining quality.
• Grow into applied AI/ML tasks like entity resolution and anomaly scoring.
