Job summary

Wawa, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Engineer, AI to design and deliver scalable data pipelines across real-time and batch streams on the enterprise data platform. You will guide AI-driven tooling and collaborate with Analytics and Data Science to enable self-service data products.

You will own data pipelines end-to-end, ensure quality, security, cost control, and compliance while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to platform standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of database and data integration experience.
• 3+ years implementing data models (logical, physical, and dimensional).
• 3+ years developing Enterprise Data & Analytics on a modern cloud data platform; Snowflake required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines across real-time and batch ingestion.
• Deliver data products meeting SLAs with proper lineage and ownership.
• Collaborate with Analytics/Data Science teams to enable self-service data.
• Review and mentor engineers, participate in design reviews and production issue resolution.
