Job summary

Staples seeks a Senior Data Engineer I to design, build, test, deploy, and operate modern data products for the Staples Supply Chain. You will translate complex needs into governed datasets and pipelines, with Snowflake and dbt as the primary stack, collaborating broadly with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders.

In this hands-on role, you will own solutions from design through production, improve data quality and security, and enable AI-enabled experiences using Databricks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering delivering production data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support batch, event-driven, and near-real-time pipelines for supply chain data ingestion, integration, transformation, and curation.
• Create governed, analytics-ready data products that support transportation, fulfillment, inventory, delivery, returns, and related decisions.
• Partner with product owners, analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Lead initiatives from design through production with minimal oversight and participate in design reviews.
