Job summary

Headway is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape the company’s data architecture for a mental healthcare platform. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines, strengthening governance and quality standards, and enabling trustworthy, AI-ready data through cross-functional collaboration.

In this position, you will own data platform decisions and collaborate with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Infrastructure to ensure data is accurate, secure, and scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a data engineer in fast-paced tech environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Metabase or Jupyter Notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for internal stakeholders and core business functions.
• Define, develop, and refine data governance, monitoring, and data quality standards, ensuring AI-generated data is complete, correct, and traceable.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to advocate for data engineering best practices and address data needs early in the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and Infrastructure to evolve Headway’s data architecture.
