Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deploy data pipelines that support enterprise analytics, AI-ready data, and scalable lakehouse architectures. You will work with Snowflake, dbt, and modern cloud services to deliver reliable data across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will mentor a data engineering team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help optimize data quality, security, and cost while supporting HIPAA-compliant data workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• At least 8 years delivering data engineering initiatives.
• 3+ years cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience communicating with cross-functional teams and architecting data models.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines for warehouses, marts, and lakehouses.
• Build scalable data infrastructure and ensure data quality and security.
• Mentor team members on advanced data engineering concepts.
• Provide on-call production support for data services.
• Ensure HIPAA and patient data policies are followed.
