Job summary

Nimble Gravity seeks a Senior Data Engineer to architect and build scalable data pipelines, supporting our decentralized Data Mesh strategy and migrating from on-prem to a cloud data platform powered by Snowflake.

You will own Snowflake platform aspects, develop semantic models for AI-ready data products, mentor a junior engineer, and drive dbt, Azure Data Factory, and Stream Analytics tooling across teams.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Strong Snowflake architecture and performance tuning experience.
• Experience building semantic layers for AI-ready data products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Own Snowflake data platform including data modeling and storage structures.
• Architect semantic models and metadata for AI, dbt Semantic Layer, and natural language interfaces.
• Establish reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams.
• Lead and mentor one data engineer and guide analysts in engineering best practices.
• Drive modernization and tooling, integrating AWS/Azure data tools where appropriate.
