Job summary

Oyster is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for its AI Platform, working remotely worldwide. You will shape data pipelines and platform services that empower AI capabilities across Oyster.

Use Snowflake, Databricks, and modern tooling to deliver reliable, secure enterprise data for AI use cases, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and IT. A strong emphasis on governance and scalable design drives production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production data systems.
• Proficient Python and SQL with data pipelines mastery.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, dbt or Airflow.
• Hands-on with LLMs / generative AI in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve data pipelines and platform components for AI use cases.
• Build data and knowledge pipelines: ingestion, transformation, embeddings, retrieval, vector search.
• Develop secure, reusable data access patterns for AI apps and tools.
• Create libraries and tooling to productionize AI capabilities.
• Apply data governance, quality, and observability practices for AI data.
