Job summary

RTX Corporation seeks a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the DAAI team. You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate requirements into robust data solutions and ensure data quality and security.

This role requires strong ETL/ELT, SQL, and Python skills, with experience in Matillion, Databricks, Snowflake, and SAP BW. A U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in data engineering with AI-driven data analysis.
• Strong ETL/ELT design and optimization experience with Matillion.
• Solid data modeling and architecture skills; ability to translate business needs into data requirements.
• Experience with SAP Hana, BW, Infocubes, OData; working with data owners.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data workflows and pipelines using Matillion, HVR, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform data modeling to design databases supporting business needs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, transformation, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data security and regulatory compliance; promote data governance practices.
• Document data processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
