Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join the Digital Technology, Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) team in the United States. You will design data workflows, model data, and collaborate with scientists to deliver trusted analytics for aerospace and defense applications.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, proficiency in Matillion/Databricks, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience as a data engineer performing AI driven data analysis, data modeling, data transformation.
• Strong experience developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes with Matillion.
• Strong data modeling and architecture skills.
• Experience with SAP Hana, BW, Multipliers, Infocubes, and OData.
• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize and maintain scalable data workflows and pipelines using Matillion, HVR and Databricks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to translate data requirements into solutions.
• Perform data modeling to design and structure databases.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and transformation.
• Ensure data security and governance with industry standards.
• Document data processes, workflows, and specifications.
• Adhere to best practices and data governance mandates.
