Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a senior data engineer to design and lead scalable data architectures for AI and agentic systems. You will own data pipelines, governance, and cross-functional collaborations with clients and teams.

Based in North America, you will mentor engineers, guide MLOps/LLMOps practices, and shape enterprise AI solutions across industries, delivering high-impact results with speed and scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a data engineering role, with leadership and mentoring experience.
• Expert-level Python/SQL; ability to work with Scala/Java when required.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead scalable data architectures for AI/agentic systems.
• Develop robust data pipelines and govern data environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Deliver AI features end-to-end, including MLOps/LLMOps integrations.
