Job summary

ClassLink is seeking a Senior Agentic Data Engineer (IC3) to lead the design and evolution of scalable data platforms, cloud-native services, and AI-enabled data capabilities across products and analytics.

The role reports across Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Analytics, with responsibilities in architecture reviews, standards, and mentoring. This is a remote position with quarterly in-person strategy meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, backend software engineering, or cloud-native platform development.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy ORM, Alembic migrations, PostgreSQL, and relational design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex data platforms and cloud-native data services.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI-assisted development, data quality, observability, testing, security, and reliability.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and guide technical adoption across teams.
• Mentor Data Engineers through coaching, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
