Job summary

ClassLink is seeking a Senior Agentic Data Engineer (IC3) to lead the design and evolution of scalable data platforms and AI-enabled data capabilities across products and analytics. You will architect enterprise data solutions, establish best practices, and mentor engineers, collaborating with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures, data governance, and secure, reliable pipelines, with remote work and quarterly in-person strategy meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in data engineering, backend software engineering, or cloud-native platform development.
• Proficient in Python and modern software practices; strong API design and data engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform or equivalent), CI/CD, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of scalable data platforms and cloud-native data services across products.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI-assisted development and data quality.
• Design multi-tenant data architectures, REST APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouses.
• Ensure data governance, security, and operational readiness.
