Job summary

Meta, Ranking AI within the Monetization group, is seeking a senior Data Engineer to lead data foundation and analytics across the Ads stack. You will work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to build scalable data platforms and improve model-driven revenue growth.

You will own architecture for multiple projects, drive governance and security, and mentor teammates as we translate research into production at high velocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years in data warehouse space and ETL design.
• 10+ years with SQL, object-oriented languages, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive data foundation and analytics vision across platforms.
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects and evaluate cost-benefit trade‑offs.
• Develop frameworks to improve data logging and triage data issues.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership areas.
• Define security models respecting privacy requirements and governance.
• Design and launch data models and visualizations for multiple use cases.
• Solve complex ETL and data integration challenges across sources.
• Optimize production code and data pipelines for efficiency.
• Influence cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities.
• Mentor teammates with actionable feedback.
