Job summary

Meta is seeking a senior Data Engineer within Ranking AI to lead data foundation and analytics for ads. You will build scalable data platforms, collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to deliver data-driven insights and decisions across Meta's Ads stack.

You will architect data systems, optimize ETL pipelines, ensure governance and privacy, and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment to drive measurable impact for user experience and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 10+ years in data warehousing.
• 10+ years in ETL design and maintenance.
• 10+ years in object-oriented programming.
• 10+ years in schema design and dimensional modeling.
• 10+ years of SQL development.
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies.
• Experience communicating data warehouse plans to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms.
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Create frameworks to improve data logging and triage issues.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers to meet data needs.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets.
• Implement privacy-focused security and governance measures.
• Design and launch data models and visualizations for multiple domains.
• Solve complex data integrations with ETL patterns across sources.
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, and frameworks for faster development.
• Influence product decisions with data and mentor teammates.
