Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Smithfield, RI, with hybrid onsite Day One. You will drive data modernization, assess Informatica workflows, and develop scalable Python-based ETL solutions across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 6–9 years of data engineering experience, strong Informatica/Python/SQL, and hands-on AWS data solution work. Lead migrations, mentor engineers, and champion best practices within Capgemini’s data initiatives.

About The Role

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to drive data modernization initiatives assess legacy Informatica workflows and lead the development of scalable Python based ETL solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work closely with cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and assess complex Informatica workflows and data processing frameworks
  • Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines using Python SQL and modern data engineering practices
  • Lead migration efforts from legacy ETL platforms to modern Python based solutions
  • Develop and optimize batch processing solutions using Java Spring Batch
  • Perform data profiling impact assessments and workflow optimization
  • Leverage Generative AI and Copilot capabilities to accelerate workflow analysis and modernization activities
  • Collaborate with architects business analysts and application teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Required Skills
  • 6-9 years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in Informatica Python ETL and SQL
  • Hands on experience with Java Spring Batch
