Overview

Hybrid – Philadelphia, PA. Base pay range: $160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr. $160,000 – $180,000 + Equity. We’re partnered with a stealth-stage healthtech innovator building AI-driven data solutions for clinical research, diagnostics, and healthcare delivery. As they expand into new product areas beyond their core platform, they’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to help architect and scale real-world data (RWD) systems that power life sciences research and patient-focused applications. This is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, with in-office collaboration 2–3 days per week alongside a lean and agile product team.

Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll join a newly formed RWD team operating like a startup within the company. You’ll partner with a data scientist and project manager to ingest and structure complex, unstandardized datasets — often involving clinical and imaging data — and help shape the architecture of emerging products. The team is in zero-to-one mode, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building scalable data infrastructure from scratch.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience with REST API integrations and ingesting complex datasets
• Proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based data infrastructure
• Familiarity with modern software practices (testing, CI/CD, containerization)
• Self-starter comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Bonus: Experience with healthcare, life sciences, or privacy-sensitive data
