Description

• Remote EST hours
• 6+ months contract
• Technical interview process includes two rounds, with screening by our resource first
• Role involves performance data processing using AWS, Spark, Scala, and Snowflake to calculate performance metrics
• Team consists of 10 developers and 1 analyst
• System is Java-based; role requires broad Data Engineering skills including Spark, Scala, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL
• Responsibilities include reading, collating, and joining data with Spark and Scala, then moving data to Java core engine for calculations, targeting Oracle Database
• Pay rate: $65-75/hr W2
• W2 and corp-to-corp options available; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and life insurance

Responsibilities

• Use Spark and Scala for data processing and transformation for performance calculations
• Collaborate with team for efficient and accurate data processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues
• Work with Snowflake and Oracle databases for data storage and retrieval
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years in Data Engineering ETL
• 4+ years in advanced AWS services (EMR, EC2, S3)
• 2+ years hands-on Scala experience
• Proficiency with Snowflake, Spark, Scala, and Java reading skills
• Strong SQL skills; Oracle knowledge is a plus
• Experience with schedulers like Control-M is a plus
• Experience in Agile environment with 2-week sprints

Education Requirements

BA in Technology or related field
